Privacy Policy

Effective: October 8, 2026

InterpLoop is a language-output practice app. This policy explains what information InterpLoop processes, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.

Information we process

If you sign in, InterpLoop may receive your email address, display name, profile image, and the identifier supplied by the sign-in provider. Practice scripts, saved practice history, and expression notes are currently stored in your browser on your device.

When you record or upload interpretation audio for transcription, the audio is sent through InterpLoop's backend to Google Gemini using the Gemini API key you provide. InterpLoop does not intentionally save the audio file in its application database. The resulting transcript and AI feedback are returned to your device.

Gemini API key

Your Gemini API key is entered by you and is used to send transcription and feedback requests to Google. InterpLoop does not intentionally store that key in its application database. Do not share your API key with other people.

Google Drive

If you choose to connect Google Drive, InterpLoop uses the authorization you grant to create and update your expression-notebook file. Files created in your Google Drive remain under your Google account and can be deleted or managed by you there.

How information is used

Information is processed to authenticate you, transcribe your speech, generate language feedback, save the practice information you choose to keep, and synchronize expression notes when you explicitly request Google Drive sync. InterpLoop does not sell personal information to advertisers.

Third-party services

InterpLoop relies on service providers including Google for sign-in, Google Drive, and Gemini AI, Apple for Sign in with Apple on iOS, and Floot for app hosting and infrastructure. Information sent to those services is also subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Browser-stored practice data remains on the device until you delete it or clear the site's stored data. Signed-in users can delete their InterpLoop account from the app. Account deletion removes the InterpLoop account record and associated authentication records. Files already created in your Google Drive are not automatically deleted.

Your choices

You can choose not to connect Google Drive, delete individual saved practices and expressions, revoke third-party account access in the relevant provider settings, or delete your InterpLoop account from within the app.

Contact and updates

Privacy and support contact information is provided with the InterpLoop App Store listing. This policy may be updated as the app changes; the effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
